Description: This hike will start at the Canyon Meadow staging area and go along the Stream Trail until turning onto the Mill Trail and then the French Trail. We hike on the French Trail until we reach the Orchard Trail, which takes us up to the West Ridge Trail and its many views. From the ridge we will take the Chown Trail down and back to the Stream Trail and return to the starting point. Near the end of the hike are picnic tables where we can eat lunch. Be sure to look about for redwoods! They're beautiful. You don't want to miss them.
For people who want a shorter hike, there will be an opportunity to reduce the hike to 4.3 miles. Please let the hike leader know.
Bring / Wear: Bring water, lunch, good hiking shoes/boots, hat, layers, sunscreen, poles if you use them.
Rain Policy: Contact hike leader in the event of rain. If canceled due to rain, I will post a notice here in the hike calendar.
Dogs: Woof, yes!
