JOHN HAYDEN MEMORIAL GET-TOGETHER

Description: Many of us who knew and loved John will be meeting for an informal get-together. Nothing fancy; after all, it's John we'll be honoring!
We'll have snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. If there's something you would especially like to bring to eat or drink, please feel free. Bring any memories or photos you have of John. We'll also discuss our plans for a permanent physical memorial.

UPDATE:

An anonymous friend of John's has offered to help us reach our goal - raising $25,000 - for the commemorative bench in John's honor. We need to continue to contribute until November 30. After that time, any balance will be met, thanks to our generous donor!

For anyone who's already contributed through our website who would like your gift to be tax- deductible, please let us know and we'll refund the donation you made so that you can donate directly through the gardens' site.

Meeting Location: 12:30 at 1059 Lizann Drive, Lafayette, CA. Take the Bay Bridge then 580 East to 24 east to the St. Stephens Drive exit in Lafayette. Turn left over the freeway then right on El Nido Ranch Road (east) and at 1/4 of a mile look for Lizann on the left. There is very limited parking at the house so please park down on El Nido and walk up the road to the top. For any disabled folks unable to make the walk up the hill we can either arrange for parking at the house or a shuttle from the road below. Google Maps link

Gathering Time: 12:30 - 3:30 PM

Carpooling: There will be limited carpooling arrangements from both SF and the East Bay. Most will need to take BART. We'll send out an email asking for those offering or needing a ride, and go from there.

Please register if you're interested in attending, OR if you cannot attend but would like to stay informed. There are options for both when registering. We'll establish carpooling when we know the location.
