Mileage:  6 miles

Elevation Gain: 1000'

Description:  This hike begins in a pretty, wooded valley, then up to a succession of ridges, which provide spectacular views of Richardson Bay, Gerbode Valley, and Tennessee Valley. We'll take Old Springs trail to Tennessee Valley, and then shaded Rhubarb trail back to the cars. It's all a very short distance from San Francisco. There are a few moderately steep parts, but most of the route climbs and descends gradually. We should see the beginning of the wildflower season. There's an option to reduce the length of the hike by 2 miles if the weather isn't cooperating.  Although dogs are allowed in Oakwood Valley, they're not allowed in Tennessee Valley where half the hike will take place.

Bring / Wear:  Water, lunch, layers for a winter hike, hat and sunscreen for the sunny portions.  Poles would be useful on the steeper sections.

Weather Policy:  Hike will take place rain or shine.

Trailhead Meeting Place: Exit Hwy 101 in Marin at the Stinson Beach/Hwy 1 exit. Shortly there will be a dedicated left turn light.  Turn left here onto Tennessee Valley Road.  In a half mile there will be a large meadow on the left.  Park on either side of the road and we'll meet in the meadow where the Oakwood Valley trailhead meets the road.  Google Maps Link
