Description: Not only will this be peak wildflower season in Calaveras and Tuolumne counties, but we'll get to see the famous Calaveras Big Trees State Park.  We'll also spend some time visiting one or two of the Gold Rush towns in the area.  Since it's only ≦ 2.5 hours from the Bay Area we'll have plenty of time on the first day to wander around.

We'll be staying at the
Heritage Inn Yosemite/Sonora To make a reservation tell them you’re with the San Francisco Hiking Club.

The rooms are $120 + taxes.  There may be a $100 refundable deposit for each room.  This is for any damage or smoking in the room.  There is no charge to cancel your reservation unless it happens within 24 hours of the check-in date.  Any of our 24 rooms not spoken for will be released and the regular, increased room price will take effect.

TO BOOK A ROOM, CALL 209-532-3633.
Mention the San Francisco Hiking Club block.

IF YOU'D LIKE TO GO, PLEASE REGISTER ON OUR SITE FIRST, THEN TEXT OR EMAIL ME AFTER YOU'VE REGISTERED WITH THE HOTEL.

Dogs are allowed for $25 additional per night.  They cannot be left unattended. Several of the parks we may be visiting allow dogs.  Calaveras Big Trees SP only allows them on roads and picnic areas - not on single-track trails.

Bring/Wear: Sturdy hiking shoes, sunscreen, clothing changes and any snacks or food you wouldn't expect to find in a resort town.  There are plenty of restaurant options.  Bring your water containers to refill.
