SF Meeting Location: Whole Foods @ 2001 Market St.  Meet on the Dolores St side.  There's parking on the street.

East Bay Meeting Location: Rockridge BART station.  Meet at the bottom of the escalators.  There's free and ample parking.

NOTE: You will be contacted if you've indicated you need a ride/can offer a ride by the Friday afternoon before the hike.  Please only show up at the SF or Rockridge meeting location if you have a ride arranged ahead of time. After 3:00pm Friday, It may not be possible to accommodate those needing a ride.

Description:  We'll begin this classic Point Reyes hike at Bear Valley Visitor Center. We'll hike up Sky Trail via Meadow Trail, and Coast Trail down to gorgeous Kelham Beach for lunch. If it's at all clear we'll enjoy gorgeous ocean views. More than half of the hike will be in the shade, with several brief exposed sections near the coast.  Point Reyes is one of the few places in the Bay Area where you can expect the coolest temperatures.  That, and incredible scenery and vistas make this a great loop.  Sorry, dogs not allowed in the National Seashore.  

Trailhead Meeting Place: Bear Valley Visitor Center

Exit 580 or 101 at San Anselmo/Sir Francis Drake Blvd.  Take Sir Francis Drake all the way to where it meets Hwy 1 in Olema (20.4 miles).  Turn right (north), and almost immediately you'll see the sign that points you to the left onto Bear Valley Rd.  Look for a sign for the Visitor Center.  We will be just to the left of the entrance (if it's open), near a big sign in the shade.
