Description: The Club did a similar trip in 2019 - also during rhododendron flowering season. We hiked in Russian Gulch State Park. Van Damme and Jug Handle are also options. The waterfall photo below is of a falls in Russian Gulch.
We'll meet on Thursday at the beautiful Mendocino Botanical Garden. There's a nice cafe there where we can stop for lunch.

We'll be staying at the Harbor Lite Lodge in Fort Bragg, CA. To make a reservation tell them you’re with the San Francisco Hiking Club - we have a block of 24 rooms, as follows (the first price is for Thursday night, the 2nd price is for Saturday and Sunday):

Bring/Wear: Sturdy hiking shoes, sunscreen, clothing changes and any snacks or food you wouldn't expect to find in a Safeway in Fort Bragg. There are plenty of restaurant options in Fort Bragg, and more in Mendocino.
Bring your water containers to refill.
