Description: The hike begins in the parking lot of the Marin County Civic Center. For architecture buffs the civic center was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, and his only government building. The center is *closed* on weekends. If you arrive early you can walk around the building to enjoy Wright's creative vision. We will meet in the All Day parking lot and explore the grounds before heading through the residential neighborhood of Northbridge. We'll then enter the Woodoaks Trail and head up for some uplifting views of San Pablo Bay. The first mile of the trail is a steep uphill climb. There is a lot of poison oak. Please note these conditions if you are joining the hike. As this is a shorter hike, we will complete the loop and return to the civic center grounds for lunch if you choose to stay. Bring/Wear: Hat, sunscreen, water , hiking poles, sturdy shoes, light lunch if desired.
