If it's at all clear we'll enjoy gorgeous ocean views. More than half of the hike will be in the shade, with several brief exposed sections near the coast.

Alternate Meeting Place: Bear Valley Visitor Center
Exit 580 or 101 at San Anselmo/Sir Francis Drake Blvd.  Take Sir Francis Drake all the way to where it meets Hwy 1 in Olema (20.4 miles).  Turn right (north), and almost immediately you'll see the sign that points you to the left onto Bear Valley Rd.  Look for a sign for the Visitor Center.  We will be just to the left of the entrance (if it's open), near a big sign in the shade.
