Description: A moderate hike in the little frequented Fernandez Ranch, administered by the John Muir Land Trust. A mix of forest and grassland. We'll take the pretty shaded Woodland trail, the Woodrat trail, and the Whipsnake trail with great views.
Bring/Wear: Water, layers for a spring hike, lunch, and sunscreen and hat for the sunny areas. - and your MASK.
Rain Policy:
Hike will take place rain or shine.
Alternate Meeting Place: At the Fernandez Ranch trailhead. Take I-80 north to hwy 4 and turn east. Drive a few miles, just past the golf course, and turn right on Christie Road. There's a sign (not prominent) to Fernandez Ranch. Continue about 1/2 mile to the parking on the right. If coming west on Hwy 4, there's no turnoff for Christie Road, and you have to drive to the next exit.
