Description: This is a beautiful section of Point Reyes - not as traveled as other parts. We'll begin at the Five Brooks Trailhead in the southern portion of the park. Most of the loop includes moderate elevation gains and losses, and will be among beautiful forests, mostly on single-track trails. The route will include Greenpicker, Alamea, Ridge, Bolema and Olema Valley.
There should still be a substantial number of wildflowers still in bloom!
Marin County has relaxed its group-size restrictions. Masks and distancing are still required.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED A RIDE AND/OR CAN TAKE A PASSENGER, AND WHAT YOUR COMFORT LEVEL IS REGARDING PASSENGERS.
Bring/Wear: Bring water, lunch, layers for a spring hike, sturdy shoes, hat and sunscreen - and your MASK.
Rain Policy: Canceled in the event of heavy rain.
Alternate Meeting Place: We'll meet at Five Brooks Trailhead. Check the traffic before you leave. 2 options are: Take Hwy 1 for ~ 22 miles from the Stinson Beach exit off Hwy 101. Then turn left for .3 miles. OR, take Hwy 101 to the San Anselmo exit to Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Take it all the way to Olema on Hwy 1. Turn left for 3.5 miles and turn into the Five Brooks road. The 101 version is slightly longer but may be quicker.
