Starting at Rock Spring and the Simmons trail, we’ll take an obscure trail in deep woods from the Simmons trail to Barth’s Retreat; then Mickey O’Brien trail alongside Barth’s Creek, which should have plenty of water in it. At Cataract Creek we’ll climb up to the Coastal trail, and have stunning views of the Pacific for a couple of miles, and then deep forest for the last mile until we near Pan Toll Ranger Station. Finally the forested Old Mine trail back up to Rock Spring, where we began.
Bring/Wear: Water, lunch, layers for a winter hike (including rain gear if it's raining), sunscreen and hat for the sunny areas.
