Description: This hike will include a beach, a walk through a tunnel, and maybe some close views of Blue Angels. We start with a gentle uphill on the Alta trail, with nice views of Richardson Bay and the Sausalito shoreline. Then a long downhill on Bobcat trail, and over a hill to our lunch stop on the magnificent, clothing optional, Black Sands Beach, with views of Point Bonita. Then we climb Hawk Hill to see Battery 129, and views of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco. We return via Conzelman Rd, the Coastal trail, the SCA trail, and the Alta trail, passing the Clyde Wahrhaftig memorial bench. Our pace may be fairly fast near the start and finish, but will be leisurely at the beach and near Hawk Hill.
