Description: This beautiful walk takes us through the open fields of the northern end of Point Reyes National Seashore. The great herd of Tule elk is always around, sometimes quite near the trail. We may spot ocean life, as well as birds. The walk takes us to the northern edge of the peninsula. It is spectacular but can be very windy, so be prepared with layers.
Bring/Wear: Lunch, snacks, water, layers for a windy or chilly day, hat and sunscreen.
Rain Policy: Canceled in the event of heavy rain

Alternative Meeting Place: Parking lot at the Pierce Point Ranch trailhead. Highway 101 North to San Anselmo/Sir Francis Drake Blvd exit. Follow Sir Francis Drake to the intersection with Highway 1 in Olema. Follow sign to Bear Valley but stay on Sir Francis Drake to continue north through Inverness. When Sir Francis Drake bears left after Inverness continue forward on Pierce Point Road to the end at the trailhead.
