Description: From the main El Corte de Madera parking lot, we’ll hike the Sierra Morena Trail to its intersection with the Methuselah Trail where we’ll begin our descent of about 1,200 feet to Lawrence Creek following the Manzanita and Timberview Trails, including a stop to view one of the few remaining massive old growth redwoods (approximately 50 feet in circumference at its base). We’ll then begin our return 2.6 mile assent along Lawrence Creek on the Gordon Mill Trail to its intersection with the Sierra Morena Trail. Hike will be almost entirely in shade with numerous options to shorten or lengthen.
Bring/Wear: Sturdy hiking boots, layers, water (2 liters), lunch, snacks and trekking poles may be useful
